About the role
GoldPointe Academy is seeking knowledgeable, responsible, and student-centered instructors to join our academic teaching team.
This role goes beyond homework help. Our instructors help K–12 students understand why they are learning a concept, strengthen essential academic foundations, improve classroom performance, and develop the analytical and problem-solving skills required for long-term success.
We welcome educators with deep expertise in one or more academic subjects. Candidates are not expected to teach across every discipline.
Subjects We Are Hiring For
We are currently seeking instructors in the following areas:
World History
U.S. History
World Literature
American Literature
English Language Arts
Academic Writing and Essay Writing
Mathematics
Physics
Chemistry
Biology
Other advanced middle school and high school subjects
Candidates are not required to teach all subjects. Strong expertise in one or more subject areas is preferred.
What You’ll Do
Provide high-quality, subject-specific instruction to elementary, middle school, and/or high school students.
Align instruction with each student’s school curriculum, academic level, and learning goals.
Strengthen foundational knowledge while helping students progress toward honors, AP, IB, or other advanced coursework when appropriate.
Support students with homework, quizzes, tests, essays, research projects, and exam preparation.
Teach academic writing, critical reading, analytical thinking, and problem-solving strategies where applicable.
Identify academic strengths, weaknesses, learning gaps, and opportunities for growth.
Develop individualized learning plans and measurable academic goals.
Assign and review appropriate homework, exercises, and practice materials.
Track student attendance, lesson content, performance, and progress accurately.
Provide clear, constructive feedback to students, parents, and the academic team.
Communicate professionally with academic coordinators and counselors regarding student development and next steps.
What You Bring
A bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, English, History, Mathematics, Science, or another relevant academic field.
Strong command of the subject or subjects you teach.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to explain complex concepts clearly, patiently, and effectively.
Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
A responsible, organized, and student-centered approach.
The ability to adapt instruction to different academic levels and learning styles.
The ability to work effectively with students from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
Previous teaching, tutoring, or academic coaching experience.
Experience teaching honors, AP, IB, or other advanced-level courses.
Familiarity with U.S. middle school and high school curricula.
Experience supporting students with academic writing, essays, and research.
A teaching credential, graduate degree, or advanced subject-matter expertise.
